Winter Recitals 2017

An informal winter recital will be held at all TD locations during the month of December. Performances will either be during regular class time or in the evening (studio). Students will wear their normal dance attire. If anything special is needed for the performance, we will let you know in timely manner. Occasionally, TD will perform in your learning center’s show, play or pageant. Winter performances are great opportunities to see what your performer has been up to mid-way! Rather than learn a dance, we are showing you exactly what technique and terminology we are learning in class each week

2018 Atlanta Hawks Game Performance- TBA (March)

hawks-logoAll TD students are welcome to participate in our annual Atlanta Hawks game performance! 2017 will be our tenth and biggest year performing at Philips Arena. You won’t want to miss this performance. Space is limited to 60 dancers and dancer spots usually sell out in two days! Dance is boy/girl friendly and TD receives a great group rate on tickets. (Gymnastics students encouraged to attend) Each dancer will need a T-shirt for the event. Performance will be held on March 26, 2017 at 1:00pm vs. The Brooklyn Nets

Spring Recital Saturday, May 19th 2018

Parents rave about our spring recital every year. We work very hard to put on a professional, full production for the children and this is a great chance to see your investment in dance and gymnastics come to life. Each class your child is enrolled in will require (1) costume. All costume fees due February 15th. Please note: All recital related fees will be debited using the card TD has on file for you

Coming February 25th – Download the TD Recital Manual
*This manual will have all the information you need to know about the recital including: your one on-stage rehearsal day & time, and your performance time on the 19th. We will also place the manual in your costume bag for your reference

Costume Fees:

You MUST notify our bookkeeper, Jessie if you are NOT planning on attending the recital by February 1st. Costume fee and recital fee will be debited from your account on February 15th and March 15th

Costume costs will be listed in your parent portal.

You will keep the costume. TD only purchases costumes of quality from reputable dance costume companies. Please budget ahead of time for this purchase. The cost of the costume also includes shipping, handling and our time to order them for each individual student. Ordering costumes is a very tedious and time consuming task. Each dancer is measured for proper fit and great care is taken to ensure your child’s costume matches the theme of the recital and captures the personality of his or her class

Costumes are delivered to learning centers during the month of April- before our picture day. If you don’t have your costume by then or had sizing issues, you can pick up your costume at picture day

Recital fees & Other Important Info.

There is also a small recital fee per performer of $35.00 due April 15th. This fee covers the cost of putting on a large production and your performer’s award.

Relax during the spring production and put away your video camera. Our videographer films and edits our recitals each year and does a wonderful job capturing each class and performer

Your performer will have one (1) on-stage rehearsal at the recital venue prior to the recital. Please plan to attend this rehearsal as it is very important that your performer get acclimated to the ‘big stage,’ lights and sounds of the theatre

You will need to purchase tickets to the recital. All proceeds go toward next year’s recital. Children 10 & under are free

New this year! We will be selling ads for dancers in our program! Send a special message from your family and loved ones and feature your special performer’s photo in our keepsake program
